PERCH was designer for a footbridge located on the Millbrook Trail in Fayston, VT, near the Tucker Hill Inn. The deck-girder bridge crosses an unnamed stream with a single clear span of 30 feet. Two cambered girders were built up from dimensional lumber with splice plates. To minimize the risk of frost heave while satisfying budget and environmental concerns, a foundation was developed from large flat stones found on site, underlain by gravel. The bridge was completed in spring 2018.
